Apoteket AB selects store system Extenda Retail for its 350 stores in Sweden
Government owned Apoteket AB performs, as a consequence of the deregulation of the swedish pharmacy market, one of the largest IT transformations in Europe with an exchange of the core critical processes supporting the store, recipe management, and underlying business systems.
Extenda won the contract for the new store system, which includes systems for point-of-sale (Extenda Retail POS), store management and key chain management (Extenda Retail Central Office).
An implementation project has been performed which includes industry specific customizations, integrations to a Recipe Management System and to the central ERP system Oracle through integration platform TIP.
The agreement initially runs over five years with an option for another two years. Beyond the implementation project Application Management and Support are also included.
Installation of the stores is in progress and will be completed at the end of the 2011.
