Implement Extenda Retail

Extenda takes care of all services required to meet the customer’s requirements for a successful implementation to existing or new system environments. Modification of the product to customer specific requirements, integration with the customer’s business system or other third party products means that close cooperation with the customer is necessary for best results.

In our project we are working Agile with Scrum. Agile development is incremental and Iterative that means that the development is divided into cycles (Sprints) with regular deliveries.

The customer acts as product owner and is responsible for the requirements that is parts of the project. The requirements are prioritized according to business value in a “product backlog”. In Agile development the target is that the customer should be able to start to use the product early instead of wait for a final delivery. The incremental work means that a deliver could be delivered but not complete. That gives an short ROI and the possibilities to drive the development based on changed requirements and needs.

A Sprint, normally 2-4 weeks starts with a planning is held where the Sprint goals are defined together with the product owner. When the planning is done the work starts in the Scrum Team focused on the agreed targets with daily sync and checkpoints. By the end of the Sprint the result is showed and tested by the product owner that accepts the delivery. After the Sprint the work approach is being analyzed to find improvements for the next Sprint. Agile development puts the focus on the people and communication rather than tools and formal documents during the development phases. One aspect of this is that with small founds like a visual project plan on a wall or Post-it notes on a scrum board you can illustrate all the activities in the Sprint. Daily status and the progress gets visual for all members at all time.
